General Objectives
1. At the end of the course the student is able to meet the basic health needs of the individuals’ families and community in both institutional settings and also community health agencies.
2. Participate in local, state and national health programmes.
Special Objectives
1. The student able to explain the principles of health living related to all age groups.
2. Promotes Community Development activities.
3. Renders first aid and referral services.
4. Identifies common ailments and provides preliminary treatment.
5. Provides emergency Nursing Care.
6. Refers to appropriate health agencies for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
7. Provides maternal and child health care at urban and rural setup.
8. Participate in the prevention and control of communicable diseases and nutritional problems.
9. Participates in family welfare programmes
