How Childline 1098 Works

1. A child or concerned adult dials 1098 (toll-free, 24x7)
2. The call is routed to the Childline control room
3. Trained counselors assess the situation and urgency
4. An outreach team is dispatched to the location
5. The child is provided immediate assistance (shelter, medical aid, etc.)
6. Follow-up action is taken in coordination with CWC and other authorities
7. Long-term rehabilitation and family reunion efforts are initiated
